Explore Educate Evolve
Caribbean Oceanography Aquaculture & Subsea Technology (COAST) Foundation
Who We Are
We’re a Non-Profit NGO incorporated in Trinidad & Tobago in 2017 by a group of marine and subsea professionals. The organization plans to engage in education through subsea exploration and technology development.
Our Initiatives
ESTABLISHING A MARINE RESEARCH FACILITY
The foundation of a successful Marine Aquaculture Industry in T&T, and by extension the Caribbean, would be the development of a Marine Species Hatchery and Nursery for the hosting of high quality Brood Stock to be used to produce larvae which would become fingerlings for eventual grow out operations.
ESTABLISHING A SUBSEA TRAINING FACILITY
The Marine Research Facility will also be a home for a Subsea Training Facility for Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operators and other Subsea Careers. It would also be a center for Subsea Technology research and development.
PROCUREMENT OF AN EXPLORATION VESSEL
The COAST foundation is working of procuring an exploration vessel for the Southern Caribbean region to support its programs in partnership with other similar NGO’s in the region.
OUR SCRAP FOR CHANGE PROGRAM
Disposal of industrial waste and surplus project material can often be a costly exercise for these companies. Scrap for Change is a positive avenue to reduce operational or project costs while supporting a good cause.
